Hui-Ting Huang M.D.
President, Taiwan Adventist Hospital

Taiwan Adventist Hospital has long been renowned for its high-quality, world-class healthcare by local Taiwanese people and expatriates alike since 1955. The Hospital has focused on quality and patient safety for years, relying on the knowledge, motivation and outstanding team spirit of its personnel.

Due to the ever-increasing number of patients seeking medical care away from their home countries, it is essential for us to undergo rigorous screening to ensure we meet international standards for healthcare and to carry those results to ever-higher levels.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Taiwan Adventist Hospital braced itself for The Joint Commission International (JCI) virtual survey which took place April 25th to 29th, 2022. It is to reiterate ourcommitment of that quality management is a constant process, starting with assessing risks and prioritizing corrective actions.

JCI is a US-based non-profit healthcare accreditation organization, which is considered one of the most difficult global accreditation processes for medical industry. A hospital that is able to pass the stringent JCI Accreditation shows that their program is among the top tier of hospital management and services in the world.

As a result of our efforts, we are proud to share with you that we subsequently granted its Gold Seal Hospital Accreditation on April 2022 from the JCI. We are indeed proud of this international recognition for the 4th time in a row for our JCI accreditation, which is a reflection of the level of professionalism, service, and leadership mindset our team has achieved over the years – a culture of excellence that is a cut above the rest and is getting better as the years pass.

As part of Adventist Health System from the United States and a 4-time JCI accreditated institution, Taiwan Adventist Hospital will be continuously maintaining compliance with worldwide standards and guidelines to ensure that quality services and medical procedures are developed, present and evaluated.

Taiwan Adventist Hospital is committed to carrying forward the mission to “Follow the spirit of Jesus and provide holistic care”. We will take the accreditation as an another new milestone and continue to provide patients both domestically and abroad the best quality service with world-class medical skills, competitive prices and comfortable environment. We celebrate our positivity, initiative and continued commitment in these unsettling times.

On behalf of the board and senior leaders of Taiwan Adventist Hospital, we are grateful for your patience and continuous support during this unprecedented period. Please stay safe, stay well during this challenging time.

As the Bible states “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”. (Philippians 3:13-14)
